THERE ARE MANY PATHWAYS TO CANADIAN IMMIGRATION OTHER THAN COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY.
Canada is a country that offers several forms of immigration and its system is very organized, with different program options. Among them, there are some aimed at Canadian provinces, focusing on finding certain groups of immigrants, based on what the local job market needs, the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP). These are programs aimed at workers who have the required skills, educational level and work experience, and can thus contribute to the local economy and one day become permanent residents. Each province and territory has its own “streams”, a path for many who dream of immigrating and who fit certain profiles. For example, PNP programs may have the following target audiences:
International students
Business people, entrepreneurs
Skilled workers
Semi-skilled workers
In addition to all the provincial programs, there is also the AIP (Atlantic Immigration Program) which, despite being a federal program, is aimed at certain Atlantic provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador).
